A big family at a Pesach program: family rooms, connecting rooms and cribs

Meira Goren Boutique Family TravelUpdated 7 min read

Big families at our Pesach 2027 program are placed in family rooms, connecting rooms or a two-bedroom suite, often with a second room for the grandparents. The largest options are listed for 2 adults, 4 children and a baby, or for up to 6 guests. We confirm every placement per family, based on each child's age.

This guide is for parents and grandparents planning Pesach 2027 with a large family: seven, nine or more people under one program. We go through the room types at our five hotels, which ones take the most people, where connecting rooms and two-bedroom suites exist, what to tell us about babies and cribs, and what grandparents need to know about lifts. The program runs 21 to 28 April 2027, full week or half week, kosher for Pesach under the local Rabbanut, no kitniyot.

How are big families placed at a Pesach program?

Big families are placed room by room, once we know exactly who is coming and how old each person is. That is why our trip form asks who is coming, including the age of every child. Hotels describe each room by who may sleep in it: "2 adults + 2 children + baby", "2 adults + 1 child" or "up to 3 guests". A teenager, a six-year-old and a baby may fit those lines very differently, so one age can change the whole plan.

We then match your family to the room types at each hotel and check availability. We never promise a specific room before the hotel confirms it. Early bookers choose first from every room type, from a double room to a family suite, so a large family gains most from asking early. Passover programs typically fill up 6 to 8 months in advance.

All five hotels, with dates and a comparison, are on the Pesach 2027 program page.

  • How many adults and how many children are coming
  • The age of every child, babies included
  • Who should sleep near whom: grandparents beside the family, teenagers together
  • Any need for a lift, a ground floor or an accessible room
  • If you would like a private family Seder

Which family rooms fit the most people at each hotel?

The largest single room type is the Family Boutique at Hagoshrim, listed for 2 adults, 4 children and a baby. For six guests in one unit, the two-bedroom suites at the Ritz-Carlton are the biggest. The table shows the largest family option at each hotel, as the hotels list them.

At Kfar Blum almost every room type takes a full young family: the Classic Rooms (30 to 35 m²), the Boutique Rooms (40 m²) and the Junior Suite (50 m²) are all listed for 2 adults + 2 children + baby. At Ayala, the Iris Room (26 m²) takes 2 adults + 2 children or 3 adults and is also a safe room, while the Rimon Suite has a bathtub and views of the Naftali hills and Hermon.

Connecting rooms, family units and two-bedroom suites

Connecting rooms and two-bedroom suites exist at three of the hotels, each in a different form. At Hagoshrim Hotel & Nature the Family Boutique (64 m², valley view) has a connecting door. Hagoshrim also has the Gallery Room on two levels (32 m², 2 adults + 3 children) and two Premium Suites with two bathrooms (34 m², 2 adults + 2 children + baby).

At The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya the Superior Twin (40 m²) and the Deluxe Sea View Twin (60 m², up to 3 guests) have connecting doors. For one unit with separate bedrooms, there are three two-bedroom suites for up to 6 guests: the 2 Bedroom Mediterranean Suite (100 m², sea view), the 2 Bedroom Duplex Suite (100 m², two levels) and the 2 Bedroom Penthouse Suite (110 m²).

At Carlton Tel Aviv the Two Bedroom Suite (84 m², sea view) takes up to 4 guests. Five room types for up to 3 guests, from Superior City View to Royal Executive Full Sea View, can be booked as a family unit. Which connecting rooms or units are free for your dates, we confirm per family.

Two parents, five children and the grandparents: how could that work?

Nine people usually means two or three rooms side by side rather than one large unit. Here is how such a family could be placed at four of the hotels, depending on the children's ages and on availability:

  • Hagoshrim: the Family Boutique is listed for 2 adults + 4 children + baby, so it can hold the parents and five children if the youngest is a baby. The grandparents take a second room, for example a Superior Room (22 m², green views) or the ground-floor Garden Suite.
  • The Ritz-Carlton: a 2 Bedroom Mediterranean Suite takes up to 6 guests, so the parents and four children, while one grandchild sleeps in the grandparents' Deluxe room for up to 3 guests. If a baby counts toward the six, we check with the hotel.
  • Kfar Blum: every Classic and Boutique room takes 2 adults + 2 children + baby, so two rooms for the family and a third for the grandparents. How the children may be split between rooms is something we check with the hotel.
  • Carlton Tel Aviv: the Two Bedroom Suite for up to 4 guests, plus rooms for up to 3 guests booked as a family unit.

Babies and cribs: what to tell us

Tell us about every baby by age, because the hotels list babies separately from children. Only some room types carry a "+ baby": at Kfar Blum every Classic and Boutique room and the Junior Suite; at Hagoshrim the Garden Suite, Boutique Room, Premium Suites and Family Boutique; at Ayala the Rimon Suite.

Ask us about a crib when you fill in the form. We check it with the hotel and confirm per family. Pools matter for little ones too: Kfar Blum has an Olympic pool and a toddler pool, the Ritz-Carlton a heated rooftop pool with a children's pool, Hagoshrim a heated indoor pool all year, and Ayala a kids' club. The heated pool in the Ayala spa is for guests 18 and over.

Grandparents, lifts and a private family Seder

For grandparents, the lift often decides the room. Carlton Tel Aviv and the Ritz-Carlton have lifts. Ayala and Hagoshrim have lifts in part of the hotel, and some wings have none, including those of the Rimon Suite and the Hagoshrim Premium Suites. Pastoral Hotel Kfar Blum has no lift, but its garden rooms open onto the lawn and it has 6 handicapped accessible rooms. Hagoshrim's Garden Suite is on the ground floor.

In the three Galilee hotels the program takes the whole hotel, guided day trips included, so grandparents can join a Chol HaMoed outing or stay behind on the lawn. As Arye wrote: "Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful couple of days. My extended family really enjoyed and it was just what my wife and mother in law needed."

The Seder is at the hotel. Private halls and areas may be booked for a private family Seder for an additional charge. Places are limited, and booking early secures one. See what the program price includes for the details.

Questions families ask

Can a family of 7 stay in one room at a Pesach hotel?

At our Pesach 2027 program, the Family Boutique at Hagoshrim Hotel & Nature is listed for 2 adults, 4 children and a baby, with a connecting door. At The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya the two-bedroom suites take up to 6 guests. Availability and how the hotel counts each child are confirmed per family.

Do Pesach hotels provide cribs for babies?

Ask us about a crib when you fill in our trip form and give the baby's age. We check it with the hotel and confirm per family. Several room types are listed with space for a baby, including all Classic and Boutique rooms at Pastoral Hotel Kfar Blum and the Rimon Suite at Ayala.

Can we get connecting rooms for Pesach 2027?

Connecting doors are listed at Hagoshrim (Family Boutique) and at The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya (Superior Twin and Deluxe Sea View Twin). At Carlton Tel Aviv several room types for up to 3 guests can be booked as a family unit. We never promise a specific room: availability is confirmed per family.

Why does the Pesach trip form ask the age of every child?

Hotels list each room by who may sleep in it, for example 2 adults + 2 children + baby, or up to 3 guests. A baby, a young child and a teenager can fit those lines differently, so each age helps us find rooms that really work for your family at each hotel.

Which Pesach hotel is easiest for grandparents with mobility needs?

Carlton Tel Aviv and The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya have lifts. Pastoral Hotel Kfar Blum has no lift but has 6 handicapped accessible rooms and garden rooms that open onto the lawn. Tell us about any mobility needs upfront and we plan the rooms and the week around them.

Tell us who is coming

Fill in our trip form with every adult and the age of every child. We will suggest the rooms that fit your family at each hotel and confirm availability personally.
