Which Pesach hotel fits your family? Five hotels compared for 2027

Meira Goren Boutique Family TravelUpdated 7 min read

The right Pesach hotel depends on your family. For Pesach 2027 (21 to 28 April) we run programs in five hotels: Ayala, Hagoshrim and Pastoral Kfar Blum in the Upper Galilee, where guided day trips are included, and the Carlton Tel Aviv and The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya on the coast. From-prices start at ₪3,820 per couple per night, full board.

This guide is for parents and grandparents comparing passover programs in Israel for 2027 who want to match a hotel to a real family: toddlers, teenagers, grandparents who need an elevator, or three generations under one roof. We put the five hotels side by side, then say plainly who each one suits and what the trade-offs are. Every figure comes from the hotels' own room lists and our Pesach 2027 newsletter.

The five hotels side by side

Here are the five hotels on one page, with the facts families ask us about most. All five have a synagogue and a minyan with mechitza, all are kosher for Pesach under the local Rabbanut with no kitniyot, and Meira Goren and her team are on site all week. From-prices are per couple per night, full board, including VAT.

The dates, the full program and every hotel are on our Pesach 2027 program page. The prices below are from-prices, and the room you get depends on availability, so we confirm the details per family.

Galilee or coast: which Pesach hotel region suits your family?

Start with the region, because it shapes the whole week. In the Upper Galilee our program takes the whole hotel at Ayala, Hagoshrim and Kfar Blum, and guided day trips are included. The dining room, the pool and the synagogue are full of families keeping Pesach the way you do. Kashrut there is under the Rabbanut of Kiryat Shmona, with shruya (soaked matzah) and no kitniyot.

The north is green in spring, and the places families love are close by: Banias, Tel Dan, the Hula Valley and Agamon HaHula, kayaking on the Jordan, Mount Hermon and Rosh Pina. Chol HaMoed, the intermediate days of the festival, is when these trips come into their own.

On the coast, the Carlton Tel Aviv and The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya are city and marina hotels. You get the sea and the energy of Tel Aviv or Herzliya, with kashrut under the local Rabbanut of each city. These suit families who like to plan their own days, and grandparents who want an elevator in every wing.

Which Galilee hotel should you choose?

Choose Ayala if you want the newest hotel and a view. Ayala by Isrotel Collection is a brand new Isrotel resort at Kibbutz Ayelet HaShachar, new to our program in 2027, with an outdoor infinity pool looking out over the Galilee and Mount Hermon, a full spa and a kids' club. Families of four with a baby look at the Rimon Suite (55 to 62 m²). The Iris Room (26 m², 2 adults + 2 children) is a safe room, which some parents value. From ₪4,680 per couple per night.

Choose Hagoshrim if you have a big family or children who never stop moving. Hagoshrim Hotel & Nature has the widest choice of family rooms: the Gallery Room on two levels and the Grand Boutique Room both take 2 adults + 3 children, and the Family Boutique (64 m²) takes 2 adults + 4 children + a baby, with a connecting door. There is a heated indoor pool all year, the Fiorina Spa, a sports centre, and Banias and Mount Hermon a short drive away. From ₪4,020 per couple per night, with a discount for early booking and for returning guests. As Fran told us: "We very much enjoyed spending the last days of Pesach at HaGoshrim."

Choose Kfar Blum if you want space and value. Pastoral Kfar Blum in the Hula Valley has the lowest from-price of the five, ₪3,820 per couple per night, and generous rooms: every Classic room (30 to 35 m²) and Boutique room (40 m²) takes 2 adults + 2 children + a baby. There is an Olympic pool and a toddler pool, a quiet spa, a library, and the Jordan River promenade and Kfar Blum Kayaks within walking distance. The garden rooms open straight onto the lawn.

Which coastal hotel should you choose?

Choose the Carlton if you want Tel Aviv on your doorstep. Carlton Tel Aviv is a 5 star hotel on the seafront, owned by three Jewish families and run with the feel of a boutique hotel. It has 268 rooms, a rooftop pool on the 15th floor, a spa overlooking the Mediterranean and two chef restaurants. Most room types take up to 3 guests and can be booked as a family unit; the Two Bedroom Suite (84 m²) takes up to 4. The Carlton package is priced as 3 days of Chag and Shabbat on full board and 5 days of Chol HaMoed on bed and breakfast. No price is published, so ask us.

Choose The Ritz-Carlton if you want service and room to spread out. The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya is new to our program in 2027, on the Herzliya Marina, with marina views, butler service, a spa, fine dining and a heated rooftop pool with a children's pool. Rooms start at 40 m², most suites have a kitchen, and the 2 Bedroom Mediterranean Suite (100 m²) sleeps up to 6. For grandparents bringing several families, the Superior Twin and Deluxe Sea View Twin have connecting doors. From ₪4,670 per couple per night.

What are the trade-offs at each hotel?

Every hotel has something to weigh, and we would rather you hear it from us before you book. These are the points we raise with families on the first call.

  • Kfar Blum has no elevator. It does have 6 accessible rooms, and the garden rooms open onto the lawn. Tell us about mobility needs early.
  • Ayala's heated spa pool is 18+. Children use the outdoor infinity pool and the kids' club. Elevators serve only part of the hotel, and several wings, including the one with the Rimon Suite, have none.
  • Hagoshrim's elevator is also in part of the hotel. The Premium Suites have no elevator in their wing, while the Garden Suite is on the ground floor.
  • Coastal pools depend on the season. The Carlton rooftop pool opens from spring. Ask us to confirm pool arrangements at both coastal hotels for your dates.
  • Most Carlton rooms take up to 3 guests. Larger families book two rooms as a family unit, or the Two Bedroom Suite for up to 4.
  • Tips are not included in the rates at any hotel, and a private family Seder in a private hall carries an additional charge.

How do you secure the right room for Pesach 2027?

Book early and tell us exactly who is coming. Early bookers choose first from every room type, from a double room to a family suite. The Seder is at the hotel, and places for a private family Seder are limited, so booking early secures one.

You can come for the full week, 21 to 28 April 2027 (14 to 21 Nisan 5787), or half the week; a partial stay depends on availability. We never promise a specific room before it is confirmed, but we will tell you honestly which hotel fits. Meira Goren, her daughter Hila Goren and the team answer by phone, WhatsApp or email.

Questions families ask

Which hotel is best for a large family on Pesach 2027?

For one large family in one unit, look at The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya, where the 2 Bedroom Mediterranean Suite (100 m²) and two other two-bedroom suites take up to 6 guests. In the Galilee, the Family Boutique at Hagoshrim (64 m²) takes 2 adults, 4 children and a baby. Availability decides, so we confirm per family.

Pesach programs Israel: which hotels have an elevator?

The Carlton Tel Aviv and The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya have elevators. Ayala and Hagoshrim have elevators in part of the hotel, and some wings have none. Pastoral Kfar Blum has no elevator, though it has 6 accessible rooms and garden rooms that open onto the lawn. Tell us about mobility needs when you ask for a quote.

Can children use the pool at Ayala?

Yes. Children can use the outdoor infinity pool at Ayala by Isrotel Collection, which looks out over the Galilee and Mount Hermon. The heated pool inside the spa is for guests aged 18 and over. Ayala also has a kids' club, so younger children have their own space during the week.

How much is a Pesach program in Israel in 2027?

From-prices per couple per night, full board, including VAT: Pastoral Kfar Blum from ₪3,820, The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya from ₪4,670 and Ayala from ₪4,680. Hagoshrim from ₪4,020, with a discount for early booking and returning guests, and the Carlton Tel Aviv has no published price. Tips are not included. Ask us for a quote for your family.

Can we come for only half of Pesach?

Yes. Pesach 2027 runs from 21 to 28 April 2027, and you can book the full week or half the week. A partial stay depends on availability at each hotel, so tell us your dates and who is coming, and we will check which hotels and rooms can take you.
